Here in Naturno, the sun shines on 315 days. Nowhere else in the Eastern Alps does it rain so rarely, not even two towns away.

The many hours of sunshine and the Mediterranean temperatures invite you to hike, cycle, fish and relax. And best of all: with the free Guest Card you get discounts in over 100 museums, cable cars, wineries, outdoor pools and indoor pools.

Pool & sunbathing lawn

With us at Schmiedhof, happiness is very close, you can just step outside the door. Our garden with sunbathing lawn is a place to relax and feel good. Here you can relax after your hike, have a nice barbecue and refresh yourself in the pool on hot summer days.

As our guests, you enjoy free entrance to the Naturno adventure pool, which is only a few minutes‘ walk away from the Schmiedhof. There you will find an indoor pool with a large adventure pool, a 51-metre-long slide, a jacuzzi, a children’s pool and much more.

In the 500 square metre sauna area there is a Finnish sauna, a bio sauna, a steam sauna and a Physiotherm infrared cabin.

Experience Fly-fishing

The experience of fishing is a dream, but when the majestic mountain scenery of South Tyrol is combined with it, it is simply unforgettable. Here in South Tyrol, the lakes, streams and rivers are home to large marble trout, brown trout and rainbow trout, as well as large grayling and char. This wide spectrum allows for diverse fly-fishing with dry flies, wet flies, nymphs or streamers.

Our owner is a passionate fly fisherman himself and will be happy to help and advise you. You can purchase day tickets for the Adige river (with numerous side streams), the Schnals reservoir and for a section of the Passer directly from our house.

Off to the mountains Excursions

Naturno is a true adventure playground for hiking enthusiasts and mountaineers. During your holiday, you can set off on your hiking tour directly from the Schmiedhof.

In the valley, comfortable hiking trails run through orchards and if you want to go higher, you can reach the Texel Group Nature Park in a few minutes with the Unterstell cable car (only a 5-minute walk from our house). There you will find countless hiking routes, among others the well-known Merano High Altitude Trail passes by.

The Naturno Tourism Association regularly organises guided mountain hikes and botanical walks in the Texel Group Nature Park.

In the saddle Cycling

Naturno is considered by mountain bikers and cyclists to be one of the most beautiful biking regions in South Tyrol, and we think that there’s some truth to it. Maybe it’s the many hours of sunshine, maybe it’s the varied landscape or maybe it’s a combination of both.

Throughout the Vinschgau Valley, leisurely bike tours lead through apple orchards and along the Adige river. For those who like it more challenging, alpine pastures and forest roads or racy single trails await.

We are happy to give you tips on site for your most beautiful bike tours by bike, e-bike or mountain bike. If you wish, you can also take part in guided mountain bike tours organised by the Naturno Tourism Association.
