Pool & sunbathing lawn
Here at the Schmiedhof, happiness is very close, you can just step outside the door.
Our garden with sunbathing lawn is a place to relax and feel good.
Here you can relax after a hike, enjoy a barbecue and refresh yourself in the pool on hot summer days.
As our guests, you receive free admission to the Naturno adventure pool, which is just a few minutes’ walk from the Schmiedhof.
There you will find an indoor pool with a large adventure pool, a 51 meter long slide, a whirlpool, a children’s pool and much more.
In the 500 square meter sauna area there is a Finnish sauna, a bio sauna, a steam sauna and a Physiotherm infrared cabin.
EXPERIENCE
Fly fishing
Fishing alone is a fantastic experience, but when the majestic mountain scenery of South Tyrol is added to the mix, it becomes simply unforgettable.
In this region, lakes, streams and rivers are home to large marble trout, brown trout and rain trout as well as grayling and char.
This broad spectrum allows for versatile fly fishing with dry flies, wet flies, nymphs or streamers.
Our boss is a passionate fly fisherman himself and will be happy to help and advise you.
You can purchase day tickets for the Flyfishing Merano routes directly from us, including for the Adige river with numerous side streams, the Schnals reservoir and a section of the Passer river.

HIKING
Off to the mountains
Naturno is a true adventure playground for hiking enthusiasts and mountaineers.
During your vacation, you can set off on your hiking tour directly from the Schmiedhof.
In the valley, leisurely hiking trails run through orchards and if you want to go higher up, the Unterstell cable car (just a 5-minute walk from the house) takes you to the Texelgruppe Nature Park in just a few minutes.
There are countless hiking routes up there, including the famous Merano High Mountain Trail.
The Naturno Tourist Association regularly organizes guided mountain hikes and botanical walks in the Texel Group Nature Park.
BICYCLING
Off to the saddle
Naturno is considered by mountain bikers and cyclists to be one of the most beautiful bike regions in South Tyrol and we think there is some truth to this.
Maybe it’s the many hours of sunshine, maybe it’s the varied landscape or maybe it’s both.
Leisurely bike tours lead through apple orchards and along the Adige River throughout the entire Venosta Valley.
Alpine pastures and forest roads or fast-paced single trails await those who prefer more challenging routes.
We are happy to give you tips on site for your most beautiful bike tours by bike, e-bike or mountain bike.
If you wish, you can also take part in guided mountain bike tours organized by the Naturno Tourist Office.
